Anthony Vendetti is the Director of Research and Senior Healthcare Analyst at Maxim Group, LLC. Mr. Vendetti has been on Wall Street for more than 20 years and follows the aesthetic device, health & wellness, healthcare information technology & services, and medical device industries. Prior to joining Maxim Group, he was a senior healthcare analyst at Gruntal, UBS Securities and Ladenburg Thalmann. Mr. Vendetti also worked for three years in the healthcare industry at CIGNA, ultimately as a senior healthcare analyst in the managed care division.
Mr. Vendetti earned his M.B.A. in finance and accounting from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and his B.S. degree in biology from Binghamton University. While at Binghamton, Mr. Vendetti was pre-med, earned his emergency medical technician (EMT) certification and was a member of the Binghamton volunteer ambulance core. Mr. Vendetti has been a guest speaker on CNNfn, CNN MoneyLine, and a member of investment panels at various healthcare conferences nationwide. In addition, he has been quoted in numerous healthcare journals and financial publications such as Business Week, Forbes, Investor’s Business Daily and The Wall Street Journal. On June 26, 2001, The Wall Street Journal ranked Mr. Vendetti as one of the best stock-picking analysts in its annual 2000 Best on the Street survey. Moreover, on May 2, 2006, Forbes.com/StarMine ranked Mr. Vendetti as the #3 ranked Healthcare Equipment and Supplies Analyst and the #8 ranked analyst out of 3,400 sell-side analysts on Wall Street in terms of total return (stock picking) for 2005. In addition, on May 22, 2006, The Wall Street Journal ranked Mr. Vendetti as the #3 ranked analyst in the Medical Equipment industry in its annual 2005 Best on the Street survey.
