Mr. Rabinowitz’s distinguished career in the securities industry spans over three decades. Under his leadership, Maxim Group has grown into a leading investment banking, securities and investment management firm. Mr. Rabinowitz possesses a solid track record of building and growing successful companies in the financial services industry. His investment banking and capital markets expertise are sought after by a broad range of public and private companies in the U.S. and abroad.
Prior to Maxim Group, Mr. Rabinowitz served as an Executive Vice President at Investec Ernst & Company, an international specialist bank headquartered in South Africa and the U.K. He was a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and supervised the growth and expansion of the Institutional Sales & Trading, Capital Markets and Wealth Management divisions. Over his four-year tenure at the firm, Mr. Rabinowitz orchestrated a series of high-profile acquisitions which tripled the group’s presence in the U.S. In 2002, he lead a management buyout of certain core assets of the firm which became the foundation of Maxim Group.
From 1988 – 1999, Mr. Rabinowitz served as CFO and later as President and CEO of Stuart Coleman & Company, a NYSE member firm which he successfully sold to Investec Ernst & Company in 1999.
Mr.Rabinowitz serves as the Chairman of the Maxim Foundation, which assists families with special needs children and other charitable causes.
