Maxim Group LLC expands Institutional Sales platform with the appointment of Ray Neidl, a veteran aerospace/airline specialist

Maxim Group LLC, a leading full service investment banking, securities and wealth management firm today announced the appointment of Ray Neidl as the Aerospace Sector Specialist in Maxim's Institutional Sales Division.

Mr. Neidl will be responsible for generating trading and investment ideas for Maxim Group's institutional clients in the aerospace industry across various parts of the capital structure; he will also cover risk arbitrage and special situations opportunities in this sector. "Ray’s vast experience in the aerospace industry clearly brings an added dimension to the capabilities of our institutional sales and trading platform", said Jamie Barker, managing director and head of institutional sales and trading at Maxim Group.

Prior to joining Maxim Group, Mr. Neidl was a Senior Equity Analyst at Calyon where he was responsible for covering the Airline and Aerospace Industry. Before joining Calyon, Mr. Neidl was a Senior Equity Analyst at Blaylock & Partners where he covered the airline, leisure, travel and transportation industries. Prior to Blaylock, Mr. Neidl was with Furman Selz/ING/ABN Amro for 11 years covering airlines and airfreight companies. Previous to that, Mr. Neidl was a High-Yield Analyst at Dillon Read (now part of UBS) and MCM (a bond research organization) and was a Credit Analyst at S&P. Mr. Neidl began his career in the aviation sector at American Airlines in various financial and planning positions.

Mr. Neidl is the co-author of the published book, Airline Odyssey - The Airline Industry's Turbulent Flight into the Future, published by McGraw-Hill. He has been a contributor to four industry publications, Airline Economics, Airline Operations, Airline Planning and Airline Financing. He has also been named on a regular basis to the annual Best of the Best Analysts by both the Wall Street Journal and Forbes. In addition, he is called as a frequent presenter to industry conferences and Congressional hearings on the aviation industry. Mr. Neidl received an M.B.A. in Finance from Pace University, New York, New York and a B.S. from Albany State University, Albany, New York and is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts Airline Splinter Group and the Wings Club.
