Maxim Group LLC attracts more Senior Level talent for its Global Equities Platform

Maxim Group LLC, a leading full service investment banking, securities and wealth management firm today announced the appointment of four International Trading Specialists to further expand its Global Equities Trading Platform. The Maxim Group Global Equities Trading desk offers market making and institutional trading services to a broad range of clients, including insurance companies, banks, hedge funds, broker/dealers and floor specialists. Recognized as a leading market maker, Maxim Group provides liquidity and best execution in foreign equities and American Depository Receipts in over 30 countries.Thomas Giordano, who was appointed as managing director and head of the Global Equities Trading Group, brings 25 years of trading experience to Maxim Group. Prior to joining Maxim Group, Mr. Giordano spent a decade at Fleet Trading where he traded ADR's and foreign ordinaries. Previously, Mr. Giordano spent eight years at Hill Thompson Magid where he managed the foreign desk. He graduated from St. John's University with a B.A. in English Literature.
Charles Ferrera brings a decades worth of experience to Maxim Group. He began his career at Bear Stearns in 1998 and has held foreign trading positions at Arnhold Bleichroeder, Hill Thompson Magid and Lighthouse Financial. He graduated from Manhattanville College with a B.A. in Business Management.
Peter Murgolo began his career as a proprietary trader at Trillium Trading in 2003. Thereafter, he was asked to join the international equities desk at Hill Thompson Magid where he traded ADR's and foreign ordinaries for nearly four years. He spent nearly two years as a foreign equities trader at Lighthouse Financial prior to joining Maxim Group. Mr. Murgolo graduated from Seton Hall University with a B.A. in Finance.
Jackson Platsky has been trading international equities and ADR's since 2005. Prior to joining Maxim Group he served as a private wealth manager at Investec Ernst & Company, an international specialist bank head quartered in South Africa and the U.K. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Economics.
