MAXIM GROUP LLC ANNOUNCES THREE SENIOR APPOINTMENTS TO FURTHER EXPAND INSTITUTIONAL SALES AND TRADING GROUP

Maxim Group LLC, a leading full service investment banking, securities and wealth management firm today announced the appointment of three senior staff to further expand its institutional sales and trading group. Maxim Group appointed Colin C. Hill and Brad Tobin as vice presidents, institutional sales and Chip Curtis as vice president, institutional sales trading.

Colin C. Hill has over sixteen years of experience in the capital markets and corporate finance industry. Mr. Hill was most recently a managing director at Collins Stewart, where he was responsible for domestic and European equity sales in the south region.

Prior to Collins Stewart, Mr. Hill was managing director at CLSA/ Calyon, where he was responsible for marketing and selling the firms’ Asian and domestic securities. Previously he was the southern regional manager for Soliel Securities and Fulcrum Global Partners institutional trading desks, head of global sales ex-Japan for Nomura International in New York City, and an institutional equity salesperson with Raymond James. Prior to joining Maxim Group, Brad Tobin was an institutional equity salesman with Brean Murray, Carret for four years, focusing on small cap equities in the healthcare, consumer, natural resources, tech and U.S. listed china verticals. He has a certificate in Financial Analysis from the NYU School of Professional Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in English from The University of Rochester. Chip Curtis joined Maxim Group LLC, as a senior sales trader covering both US and Canadian accounts. A 16 year veteran, he began his career at PaineWebber in 1995 and moved to UBS when the two firms merged in 2000. Prior to joining Maxim Group, he held sales trading positions at Concept Capital and Fulcrum Global Partners.
