Maxim Group LLC Expands Institutional Sales and Trading Group with Appointment of Three Experienced Senior Staff
Institutional Coverage of Maxim Group Spans 25 Countries, Four Continents
Maxim Group LLC, a leading full-service mid-tier investment banking, securities and wealth management firm today announced the expansion of its institutional sales and trading group with the appointment of three experienced senior staff. Maxim Group appointed Philip J. Buchanan, 48, and Howard Glynn, 41, as senior vice presidents, institutional sales trading. Mitchell S. Martin, 32, joined Maxim Group as vice president, institutional sales trading.

Philip J. Buchanan was a senior institutional equity sales trader at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. in New York from 1994 through 2007 before joining Maxim Group. His prior experience also included positions as an institutional equity sales trader, a trader working with a team specializing in 144 transactions and a legal and compliance administrator, all at Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. in New York from 1986 through 1990. He attended the New Jersey Institute of Technology and lives with his wife in Fair Haven, N. J.
Prior to joining Maxim Group, Howard Glynn was an institutional equity salesman and trader with Pali Capital in New York starting in 2001, a market maker with Gruntal & Co. from 2000 to 2001, a NASDAQ market maker at S.G. Cowen Securities from 1997 to 2000 and a proprietary trader with Schonfeld Securities LLC from 1995 to 1997, all of which were in New York. Howard received a BA from Tulane University in 1989 and resides with his wife, two daughters and son in Chappaqua, N.Y.
Previous to Maxim Group, Mitchell S. Martin was an institutional sales trader for Hudson Securities starting in 2007, worked on the floor of the NYSE for National Securities as the head of Canadian arbitrage trading from 2000 through 2006 and clerked for Garrett Securities from 1998 to 2000. He attended High Point University and resides in Fair Haven, N. J.
