Mr. Cheng has over 14 years of investment banking experience and has completed over 50 equity, debt and M&A transactions, representing over $7.5 billion in aggregate value. He is focused on the healthcare sector and has advised and raised capital for a wide range of biotechnology, specialty pharmaceutical, medical device and healthcare services companies. Prior to joining Maxim, Mr. Cheng was Director of Life Sciences Investment Banking at BMO Capital Markets and also co-founder and Senior Vice President of the healthcare investment banking group of WR Hambrecht & Co. He has also been an investment banker with Deutsche Bank Securities and Lehman Brothers. Mr. Cheng began his career as a public accountant at Deloitte & Touche. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
